About
Matt Antell is a PGA Advanced Professional with 20 years of coaching experience from around the world.
His personalised approach and professional skills have achieved success for players of all abilities – from introducing beginner players to the game, to mentoring elite golfers to the professional level.
With an academic background in Sports Science – coupled with extensive professional development; specialist accreditations and two decades of practical experience – Matt employs a data-driven approach to his coaching and makes effective use of the latest technology – including TrackMan, 3D and video analysis.
After a successful career in the UK spanning over a decade – which included coaching at national level for England Golf and at the professional tour level – Matt relocated with his young family to South Australia in 2019, where he successfully designed and delivered coaching programs at the state’s leading golf club – Royal Adelaide – as the Head Teaching Professional.
In 2024 Matt established the Matt Antell Golf Academy, partnering with Skillest – the world’s leading digital golf coaching platform, and Tracked Golf – Adelaide’s leading TrackMan Golf facility; to expand his coaching services to the broader public in Adelaide and beyond.
At Tracked Golf, Matt provides a range of professional coaching solutions including:

Matt’s Coaching Philosophy
“My role as your coach is to help facilitate your golfing goals. We will do this by achieving the performance objectives which we agree upon following a process of analysis and evaluation. This includes effective questioning, observation and data collection using Trackman; Video and 3D technology alongside with on-course statistics and TPI screening results.
I believe an elite golf coach must think like a detective – sifting through a sea of data to find the root cause of why a player performs the way they do and to then develop a plan for them to incrementally improve.
This personalised improvement plan is developed with you to create a manageable, measurable process with practical activities and drills as part of a progressive, systematic approach to your learning and development.
My coaching philosophy is based upon my years of academic research and ongoing professional development and accreditation. I have been fortunate to benefit form the experience and mentorship of some of the worlds leading coaches and performance experts who have shaped my practice as a professional coach. This has enabled me develop my own track record of success with players at club; state and national level.

Matt specialises in providing evidence based technical coaching that is delivered in a systematic way, using simple communication and practical drills to help his students improve as much as possible, as quickly as possible.
In-person lessons include the use of TrackMan and SportsBox 3D – alongside Skillest Video Swing Analysis – to provide a world class experience.
